Anxiety in Children
Anxiety can take on many different faces in children. Negative behaviors at home or school, eating disorders, physical sickness with no explanation, to name a few. Unlike adults, children can not verbalized their emotions and feelings or work it out in their head to make sense. I have seen many children work through these troubles and come out victorious on the other side. I have seen children who would only eat non food items, like styrofoam and sheetrock, become healthy again. This desire stemmed from anxiety from an attachment disorder and after helping this child and parent they now have hope. Anxiety is real and there is hope.
