Busy Technology...
Guilty, I am guilty of being on my phone more than looking at my children at times. While recently upgrading my "smartphone" and spending too many hours getting it "user ready", I was thinking how badly I wanted to not have teenagers who were glued to their phone getting a constant crick in their neck from looking down. What are our children going to do? What they see us doing! So, I am taking an oath, making a promise, to save my phone time to when they are in bed or not around...our children need our face! They need, heck, we need face time with living human beings. On a recent errand trip driving with the girls, I mentioned that when I was growing up we only had phones at home...plugged into the wall. They were quit perplexed by this concept asking, "but how would you call people or talk to them from your car"... I went on to explain how we had to plan ahead and yes there was "wait" time because we were not constantly updated with someone's tardiness! Those were the days with more time and less "busy". Let's be the boss of our time not time be the boss of us!
